How do you earn points in YourOpoly?

Points are earned by posting a selfie/video at a location and scanning the business-provided social media QR code (black), or by making a purchase/donation and scanning the purchase QR code (green).

All prizes – except for ‘Test Your Luck’ – are distributed via a random drawing at the conclusion of the play period. Winners are contacted via email.

Q: What is YourOpoly?

A: YourOpoly is a community-wide game designed to support local businesses and nonprofits. Players visit locations, collect points, and earn YourOpoly Player Score (YPS) points to qualify for prizes.

Q: WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LOCATIONS?

Boulevard locations: Feature higher available points.
Regular locations: Local businesses.
Community locations: Local nonprofits.
Giving/Patriotic Partners: Businesses partnered with local nonprofits.
Test Your Luck locations: Banks and/or credit unions that offer an on-the-spot random prize drawing.

Q: DO YOU GET EXTRA POINTS IF YOU VISIT THE SAME LOCATION MORE THAN ONCE?

A: No.

Q: How do you earn points?

A: You earn points in two ways…

Option 1:

Post a selfie or live on Facebook or Instagram at the location
Tag or check in to the business/nonprofit
Show your post to an employee
Scan the business-/nonprofit-provided social media QR code (black)

Option 2:

Make a purchase or monetary donation/in-kind donation
Scan the business-/nonprofit-provided purchase/donation QR code (green)

Q: Can you get bonus points?

A: Yes, if you share to Facebook or Instagram AND make a purchase/donation at the same time, you will earn 150 bonus points. You need to scan both QR codes (black and green) in order to collect bonus points.

Q: HOW DO PRIZES WORK?

A: All prizes – except for ‘Test Your Luck’ – will be distributed at the conclusion of the play period after a random drawing. Winners will be contacted via email. Prizes must be collected by the designated date communicated in the ‘Notification of Winning’ email. Prizes hold no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or its equivalent. Prizes are non-transferable. Participation in YourOpoly implies acceptance of these conditions.

Q: WHAT IS THE GAME COMPLETION PRIZE?

A: The Game Completion Prize is a separate prize category open to anyone who visits and collects points from every participating location. You do not need to collect bonus points from each location.

Q: HOW MANY PRIZE ENTRIES DO YOU GET?

A: Everyone who visits all participating locations will receive one (1) entry into the Game Completion Prize Pool. You will receive one (1) entry into the General Prize pool for every 5,000 points collected, with a maximum of four (4) total entries into the General Prize Pool.

Q: CAN YOU WIN MORE THAN ONE PRIZE?

A: Yes. You could win up to five (5) total prizes. Example: you could win one (1) prize at each of the three (3) ‘Test Your Luck’ locations, one (1) Game Completion Prize, and one (1) General Prize Pool prize. You can only win one (1) prize from the General Prize Pool.
